There are events that happen only once a year, or only in a certain season. And if you’re like me, you don’t want to miss out on all of the opportunities that the season provides.
But, there is only ever so much energy available to us to put into all these activities.
We need to be mindful of how much effort we are putting out so that we don’t find ourselves in complete collapse, ill, or in the worst mood during our best time of the year.
It’s Ok to follow our inner wise woman who knows that we burn out after 5 hours of loud parties, and plan accordingly. And it’s OK and even necessary to make space for recovery and better yet, prevention – when it comes to loud noises and overstimulation.
Preplanning and recognizing who we are as individuals allow us to participate in the way that feels best for who we actually are and not who we wish we were. Then we get to have way more fun!
What are the memories we want to build, and what opportunities are available to us that we can take advantage of?
What are the sacrifices we are willing to make in order to participate?
How will we make space for our comfort and enjoyment, as well as recovery and recuperation after expending lots of energy?
It’s great to ask yourself frequently in these busy moments, “What do I need now?”
Make space for yourself in your plans, and plan for yourself to be in all your activities in the way that you enjoy.
Let’s all make awesome memories this season!Support the show
