Show Notes

I've learned a lot about myself by deciding to face my fears through exposure to them. One of my fears was snakes, but after I adopted one I have found that I have a totally new understanding of them, or at least the individual snake, Timmy, that has become a part of my family.

Snakes teach me to slow down, to think more slowly, deliberately, and calmly about what I am trying to say or do. And, they have revealed to me that my dreams can sometimes be more meaningful and insightful than I knew they could be!

Slowing down and being more deliberate might be something I like to embody, but it takes awareness for me to implement it more often. Most of the time I seem to default to a more sporadic and chaotic expression of activity. For me, being around a snake on a daily basis reminds me to chill out, recognize that things don't need constant effort to turn out well, and that a few moments of well-placed effort can result in huge gains.
